My name is Damien, I am 29 years old, and I have been passionate about watchmaking since 2016.

This passion was born from a significant moment: my father passing down a watch to me. A Festina Chronograph reference F16169/2, this watch had been bought during a difficult period.

Initially fascinated by mall watches... And yes, we all had that period where Maserati was a real watch brand for us.

Then, I deepened my knowledge through forums, specialized websites, videos, and books.

My professional background has no direct connection to watchmaking. However, it relies on similar requirements: rigor, precision, and attention to detail. My current job is to successfully decommission defunct nuclear facilities.

Over the years, my watch collection has evolved greatly due to impulsive purchases, without any meaning or interest. I've owned Seiko, Rotary, Lip, Maurice Lacroix, etc. After much reflection and thanks to a book about managing a watch collection called: "Your Mechanical Watch Collection" written by Nicolas Esposito, I understood the importance of a well-structured collection.

Over time, I felt the need to give this passion a more prominent place in my life. To create a link between my passion and produce something that would allow other novices or future great collectors to discover watchmaking.

The Watch Sphere is the realization of a project I have been developing for a long time: to create a space for exchange, transmission, and sharing around watchmaking.
